the 19th century cabinet with brass handle over, on a plinth base with glazed door opening to the twenty eight narrow drawers, with bone bun handles numbered 1 - 28, each draw with three compartments, with red velvet lining, with brass plaque to the front inscribed 'PROPERTY OF LIVERPOOL MICROSCOPICAL SOCIETY'

The Microscopical Society of Liverpool was founded in 1868 by members of the Liverpool Natural History and Microscopical Society and the Liverpool Microscopical Club.
