A pair of late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver salts, Kashmir circa 1900

Raj period, each of bulbous form upon a square base, with chased decoration in Rosette pattern below a stylised leaf border, traces of gilding to interior. (2)

Length – 4.5 cm / 1.75 inches

Weight – 113 grams / 3.63 ozt

It is interesting to note that an 1890’s Liberty's catalogue Kashmir silver salts (erroneously described Cutch work) were sold as ‘Yuletide gifts’. (Wilkinson P.110)
