Subjects include group pictures of Japanese, English, French, German, Russian, American militia and legations, photos of Tianjin and Beijing architecture, comprising the Forbidden City, the Imperial Ancestral Temple, the Summer Palace, the Coal Hill, the Drum tower, and images of the aftermath of the Boxer rebellion (1899-1901).
