A PAIR OF FINE KASHAN RUGS, CENTRAL PERSIA, approx: 204cm. x 134cm. and 208cn, x 131cm. Very nice pair of rugs, lovely example from Kashan weaving. Each rug has very nicely drawn design with various floral motifs, birds and animal figures. Very well balanced colours. Both pieces have very light localized wear to the top pile, barely visible, otherwise both rugs have full pile, soft and lustrous wool quality. Fine weave, approx; 8 x 7 knots per sq.cm. Ends at each rug with short fringes, secured. Selvages rebound, very well done. In general this pair of rugs are in very good condition. Attractive and very good furnishing pieces. Seldom found in the sales, woven in pairs.
