AN ANTIQUE SERAB RUNNER, NORTH-WEST PERSIA

The shaded light came beige filed with single column of rust and blue hooked floral medallions, flanked by palmette and checkered leaves. In an ivory border of polychome hooked panels and delicateanguular floral vine between floral vine and arrowhead stripes, approx: 333cm. x 92cm. Good type with very nice bold design and very good colour combination. Apart of small touches of wear to the pile in few small places, barley visible, this runner has good pile, soft wool quality. Selvages original, partly rebound, well done. Ends with short fringes secured, one with tiny loss. In general this runner is in very good usable condition. Very good furnishing size. Woven on wool warps. Attractive.
