A FINE AND LARGE BERLIN PORCELAIN PLAQUE BY KPM DEPICTING A MAID WITH A TRAY AFTER JEAN-ETIENNE LIOTARD 'LA BELLE CHOCOLATIERE' the serving girl wearing a pink bonnet and holding a tray with a glass of water and cup of chocolate, signed indistinctly 'A. Kisler', the reverse with the impressed sceptre mark and stamped 'KPM', incised with the size '12" x 9 3/4', and signed indistinctly to the reverse, mounted in a gilt frame with foliate scrolls to the corners, the panel 30.5cm high x 25cm wide, the frame 46cm x 40cm The original painting is now in the Staatliche Kunstsammlungen, Dresden. A further KPM porcelain plaque depicting the same scene was sold at Sotheby's, London, 5 June 2007, lot 64. Provenance: From the private collection of Dr Fischer.
