An early 20th century Chinese export silver three-piece tea service, Shanghai or Hong Kong circa 1920, marked Yan, retailed by Po Cheng of Hong Kong
Republic period. Comprising a teapot, a milk jug, and a covered twin handled sugar bowl. Each of compressed circular form upon a collet foot. The teapot with a spout modelled as bamboo, opposite a handle modelled as bamboo fitted with ivory insulators, the hinged disc lid with a detachable finial modelled as bamboo. The bodies with embossed decoration of Chinese dragons. The sugar and milk with gilt interiors. Each marked underneath with artisan mark 炎 (YAN), numeral 90, and retailer’s mark PC. (3)
