A RARE LATE GOTHIC GERMAN CARVED AND POLYCHROME RELIEF DEPICTING THE CRUCIFIXION CIRCA 1480-1520 Christ flanked by the Good Thief and the Bad Thief also hanging from crosses, with the Virgin, Mary Magdalene and Saint John at the foot of the cross, the main part of the background carved naturalistically as rocks, the upper section to resemble bricks, within an unusual integral border, the inner section with crenellated decoration, the outer with foliate carving, later mounted in a moulded rectangular wooden frame, the panel 77cm high x 40cm wide, 90cm high overall.
