A Louis XV early 18th century French silver mounted Saint Cloud porcelain snuff box, the mounts Paris 1732-38
The soft paste body formed as a recumbent lamb, panted in the kakiemon style, of figures, insects and houses, the underside similarly decorated and to the interior, depicting an oriental man kneeling by a fence, all before a house. The mounts with gilt interior. The mounts marked to the bezel with discharge mark of Hubert Louvert only (15 Oct 1732 to 1 Oct 1738).
