A George IV sterling silver vinaigrette, Birmingham 1821 by Lawrence and Co

Of rectangular form, with cavetto edge and engine turned decoration, reeded sides. The lid with a rectangular cartouche engraved with initials T.M in cursive script. The gilt interior with a hinged pierced and engraved grill of foliate scrolls centred with a rosette. Fully marked, the grill with lion passant.

Length – 4.4 cm / 1.5 inches

Weight – 29 grams / 0.93 ozt
