An Edwardian sterling silver patent card case, London 1907 by Henry Williamson Ltd

Of rectangular form with a hinged top and slide pusher. Engraved to the front with initials JH in flourished cursive script. Fully marked to the back, the lid and pusher part-marked, the lid stamped PATENT. Tother with a double sovereign case, Birmingham 1904 by Martin, Hall & Co, engraved the same, fully and part-marked. (2)

Card case length – 8.5 cm / 3.3 inches

Sovereign case length – 6.2 cm / 2.4 inches

Weight – 74 grams / 2.38 ozt

The initials are for Jeffery Haward (25th Feb 1873 - 11th Oct 1937), thence by descent
