Of shield shape form with reed and ribbon edge, the oval aperture fitted with a bevelled mirror plate edged with a laurel rim flanked by figures of the goddesses Demeter and Pheme, with a ribbon swag below all surmounted by a vacant scroll ribbon and a lion mask. Velvet lined easel backing. Fully marked to front.
