AN EGYPTIAN BRONZE ICHNEUMON SARCOPHAGUS Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. Standing on the hollow oblong sarcophagus, the shrew is depicted in typical form with a pointed snout and long slender tail, 6cm long. Provenance: Ex. British private collection, acquired 1980's; Previously with Tetragon (London). Old collection number on the base.
