A TIBETAN COPPER AND SILVER INCENSE BURNER AND COVER.

Tibet or Mongolia, 19th Century.

The rectangular-section coper body set to one side with silvered plaques formed as the Eight Buddhist Symbols, the other side with Seven Precious Objects, the narrow ends with lion head handles suspending rings, the cover pierced with cash pattern and surmounted by a miniature chakra flanked by a pair of fawns, evoking Buddha's first homily in the Deer Park, 38.5cm long. (2)
