A group of eight albumen prints from collodion negatives, image sizes primarily 295 x 230mm, each pasted down to original paper supports overall measuring 570 x 430, each with printed titles and poetic extracts lower margin recto, published in The History of Windsor Great Park and Windsor Forest. By William Menzies, Resident Deputy Surveyor. Illustrated with photographs by the Earl of Caithness and Mr Bambridge of Windsor. London: Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts, & Green. 1864. Comprising Old Pollard Beech at Ascot Gate; Young Cedar in Belvidere Wood; Group of Scotch Fir, Evergreen Oak, &c; Group of Scotch Firs Near the Obelisk; Natural Grown Maiden Oak; Old Cluster Pine in the Belvidere; Group of Young Trees Near the Royal Chapel; Planting of the Prince Consort's Memorial Tree.

The print depicting the Planting of the Prince Consort's Memorial Tree is slightly smaller, measuring 145 x 200mm, with the caption deviating from the poetic annoation and detailing those in the image: "On the left of Her Majesty: Baroness von Schenck, in attendance on Princess Louis.-Colonoel the Honourable A Liddel, Groom in attendance on Her Majesty; Her Royal Highness Princess Alexandra of Denmark; Her Royal Highness Princess Louis of Hesse.-His Royal Highness Prince Leopold; His Royal Highness Prince Louis of Hesse.-Her Royal Highness Princess Louise.-Count Gleichen, RN / On the right of Her Majesty: Major General the Honourable A.N.
