AN HUNGARIAN ZSOLNAY PECS ISLAMIC-STYLE POTTERY EWER

The cream ovoid body pierced with arabesque design to the inner vase, the neck with blue and pink decoration in the form of palmettes and scrolling foliate motifs with gilt-edging, the base of the ewer with a border of lobed panels decorated with pink and blue geometric patterns, the ewer with a looped handle and a curved upraised spout, topped with a dome-shaped lobed cover with finial, the base with underglazed blue factory mark and stamped 'ZSOLNAY 1026', 51cm high.
