紅釉《同治年製》楷書款

The cup with flared sides, painted with a fruiting and flowering gourd vine entwining around a spray of bamboo, surrounded by butterflies, the four bitter melons with two depicting their skin bursting open to reveal the orange flesh inside, the overall design overflowing from the exterior into the interior of the well, the base bearing a four-character Tongzhi mark.
