A GROUP OF MID-CENTURY HEALS FABRIC: to include a length of 'Paint Box' fabric, designed by Linda for Heals, sewn into two curtain panels, printed HEALS "PAINT BOX" BY LINDA / WOVEN AND PRINTED IN ENGLAND'; a length of ''Peony' fabric, designed by May Nielson, printed 'PEONY' by May Nielson / Woven and Printed in England'; a length of 'Niagara' fabric, designed by James Morgan, sewn into two curtains panels, printed 'HEALS "NIAGARA" DESIGNED BY JAMES MORGAN'; and a length of 'Treasure Chest' fabric, designed by Maggie Walker for Heals, 1974, printed 'HEALS "TREASURE CHEST" DESIGNED BY MAGGIE WALKER'. From the V&A: The late 1940s to the 1970s was a remarkably creative era in British textile design. Aided by post-war confidence and growth, a new wave of designs was produced, influenced by art and design from around the world.
