AN ANTIQUE BAKSHAISH CARPET, NORTH-WEST PERSIA, approx: 267cm. x 234cm. Very good type, seldom found in the sales. Design is very well drawn with very good colour combination with soft rust field and camel beige border. This carpet has wear to the pile on the field and border down to knot collar and below. Selvages original with small damages on edges. Both ends with short fringes, fraying on guard stripes. All this reflects in an estimate. Despite the imperfections this carpet still retains a great look. Very good square size. Very attractive.
