A TURQUOISE-ENCRUSTED BELT BUCKLE AND FITTINGS
Possibly Bukhara, Uzbekistan, Central Asia, late 19th - early 20th century
Of typical shape, comprising a cusped belt buckle and eleven fittings, each encrusted with crushed turquoise tesserae laid out in a grid reminiscent of fish-scale pattern and chagrin leather, backed in low grade white metal, the belt buckle 3.5cm x 7cm, the fittings 2.5cm x 3cm.
