AN EXTREMELY FINE SILK QUM RUG, CENTRAL PERSIA

The ivory field with scrolling floral and leafy vines , together with serrated palmettes and perching birdsaround cusped floral medallion pendants in light soft red border of similar design, between floral, reciprocal and palin stripes, approx, 157cmx103cm. Very good example for this type. Very good colour combination, pastel appearance. This rug has full pile of soft and shiny silk. Ends and salvages original. An extremely fine weave approx. 10x10 knots per sq.cm, woven on silk foundation. In general this rug is in very good condition throughout.
