An exquisite collection of albumen prints photographed by French photographer Félix Bonfils.

Comprising 5 loose and 5 mounted back to back prints on contemporary album leaf, each one signed and titled recto, in the negative, including a highly detailed photograph of the Facade du St. Sepulchre, Jerusalem; ruins of the top of a Roman triumphal arch in Damascus, Syria; scenes of sacral architecture of Jerusalem, Bethlehem as well as vibrant village scenes from Alexandria, Egypt and an unusual L-shaped formation of praying monks situated in an unspecified monastery, also signed by Bonfils on the lower-corner of the print in the negative, approximately 28cm x 22cm as the average.
