Tinto, ‘Annali tipografici dei Tramezzino’, 1968, p. 40, n. 107; Palau y Dulcet, I, p. 299, n. 10559], 8vo, Tramezzino, Venice, [1551] (2) *** Rare, only 5 copies recorded in public libraries; none sold at auction. Italian translation of the Spanish novel 'Florisel de Niquea', by Feliciano Silva (parts I-II, 1532), from the cycle of Amadis. The Italian chivalric romance of Amadis di Gaula consists of 21 works first published in Venice between 1546 and 1568: 8 of them are translations from the Spanish cycle, while 13 are original works continuing the series. All the works that make up the cycle were printed several times until 1630.
