A William III provincial silver 'toy' porringer, circa 1700 by John Mortimer of Exeter or John Murch of Plymouth
Twin handled tapering rounded form upon a reeded collet foot. Embossed fluted lower section engraved to the front with contemporaneous initials W over B L in Roman script. Plain wire form C scroll handles. Marked to the rim with maker’s mark only thrice of JM script conjoined in a heater shield.
