A George III sterling silver cream pail, London 1774 by Thomas Shepherd
Of tapering cylindrical form upon a moulded foot with a gadrooned rim and a pierced swing handle. The body with pierced slats between and ellipses, a vacant cartouche to the side. Fitted with a removable blue glass liner, with star cut base. Fully marked underneath, the handle unmarked.
