With deep sides and a wide base, painted to the centre and exterior with the scene from the poem by the Tang Dynasty poet Jia Dao (779 - 843), Xun Yin Zhe Bu Yu (Seeking out Hermit without success), a four character mark to the underside reading Ruo Shen Zhen Cang, 11cm diameter.
