A VERY LARGE LATE 19TH CENTURY BERLIN K.P.M. PORCELAIN PANEL DEPICTING HAGAR

A VERY LARGE AND FINE LATE 19TH CENTURY BERLIN K.P.M. PORCELAIN PANEL DEPICTING THE EXPULSION OF HAGAR, after the 17th century painter Adrien van der Werff (Dutch, 1659-1722), depicting Abraham casting out his concubine Hagar and her son Ishmael, with Abraham's wife Sarah and her son Isaac watching from the door way, the reverse of the panel with incised K.P.M. mark and H, mounted in a giltwood frame with scrolling acanthus leaf decoration,

the panel 39cm high x 31cm wide, the frame 65cm high x 57cm wide

A plaque of the same scene but larger was sold at Bonhams, London, 9 December 2009, lot 233, £11,400.
