AN ANTIQUE DAGESTAN PRAYER RUG, EAST CAUCASUS, approx: 170cm. x 117cm. Very good type, seldom found in the sales. Design is nicely drawn with classic floral lattice. Very good colour combination with soft camel beige field. This rug has even wear to the pile. Black is corroded in places. Two split damages one on the field and one on the side border. Selvages original, slightly fraying. Ends with original kilim also slightly fraying. Despite the imperfections, it is a classic rug and very good example for this type.
