A George III sterling silver teapot, London 1800 by John Robins
of rounded circular form upon a collet foot, the short, compressed spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to sockets. The everted neck section with a pull out gently domed lid surmounted by a detachable wooden know finial above an embossed leafy calyx. The body with embossed decoration of stylised acanthus leaves. The top of the spout engraved with a crest of issuing from a ducal coronet three ostrich plumes. Fully marked underneath and part-marked to the lid.
