An Elizabeth I East Anglian provincial silver paten (communion cup cover), probably Waveney Valley circa 1560-80
of conventional domed circular form with a flatten disc handle/foot. The edge with a stamped border of repeating rectangles. Quatrefoil mark to side only.
Diameter – 10 cm / 4 inches
Weight – 71 grams / 2.28 ozt
A closely related mark is illustrated in Jackson’s (1989) page 347 found upon communion cups and covers within the Waveney Valley (Great Yarmouth, Beccles, Harleston and Diss).
