Two mid-20th century Chinese export silver coin set ashtrays, Shanghai circa 1940 retailed by Nanking Store
Circular form dished form with spot hammered decoration inset with a 1898 Kiang Nan Province 7 Mace 2 Candareens silver dollar, with chop marks. Marked with an artisan mark probably 䧿 (QUE) and retailer’s mark NANKING. Another inset with a 1914 Yuan Shikai 1 yuen dollar, marked with probable artisan mark 壹 (YI) and retailer’s mark NANKING.
