A late Victorian sterling silver twin handled fruit bowl or dessert stand, London 1900 by Charles Frederick Hancock and Co
Of circular form raised upon four feet formed as classical dolphins, cast in two sections, the twin handled formed as foliate S scrolls with bifurcated upper junctions. The body of two bands of rope twist between beading with adjoining cast sections of foliate swags leading to a vacant oval cartouche to each side, flanked by laurel leaves and surmounted by tied ribbon. The interior with a cranberry glass bowl. Fully marked to the underside and stamped HANDCOCKS & CO 152 NEW BOND STREET LONDON.
