OTTOMAN EMPIRE INTEREST, c.1880s, an extraordinary and rare carte de visite album comprising 108 cartes de visite and 12 cabinet cards, showing a number of Sultans of the Ottoman Empire, together with images of Royalty, and Military leaders from across the region, including Bulgarians, Armenians, Greeks, Russians and Montenegran's, with manuscript titles in ink to the majority of images, and brown Morroco boards (310 x 250mm), lacking clasps.
