Opaque pigments heightened with gold on thick buff paper, the horizontal composition depicting the blue-skinned Hindu god Krishna dressed as a European military officer with caparisoned epaulets and a gilt sash around his chest, Radha seated next to him, both characters' heads surrounded by large golden haloes, in front of them two attendants with large fans with peacock's feathers, the jacket of the carriage rider also designed according to European standards, the composition a clear homage to the Western influence and lifestyle brought about by European residents in India, set within black and red rules, and ochre yellow, green and orange borders, 30.7cm x 42cm.
