The Laughing Buddha with a string of prayer beads and a sack of money, seated, bare-chested, with five small boys clambering on his knees and shoulders, 24cm H, together with a hibiscus and a cherry tree issuing from a green boulder, with leaves and petals carved of agate, amethyst and jade, one with a wood stand, 44cm long. (4)
Provenance: English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent.
