Ottoman Turkey, reign of Mehmed V (1909 - 1918)
Of oval shape, with cusped everted rim with repoussé decoration consisting of vegetal sprays, cusped palmettes, lush tendrils, rosette bouquets and bunches of grapes, all against a chased ground, double assay marks, Mehmed V's tughra and sah marks on the front and back, 41cm x 26.5cm, 500g weight.
