A pair of George III sterling silver wine coasters, London 1773 by I.W possibly for John Weldring (Grimwade 3699)
Of circular form with pierced slat decoration to the sides and gadrooned rims. Each with a cartouche engraved with a crest of a boar passant, pierced through the sinister shoulder with an arrow. The mahogany inset bases centred with an inlaid ivory circular boss. Baize lining underneath. Each fully marked to edge and with scratch weight 5'9. (2)

The crest is probably for Pollock
