Notes: Six ¼" x ¼" exposures on 2" diameter cut film. The Photoret was designed by W. K. L. Dickson and patented by Herman Casler in 1893 and was the first American-made 'watch' camera. The camera saw particular success in France where it was patented in 1893 and remained on sale until at least 1901. This example complete with maker's instructions, film pack and wooden box
