A pair of George IV sterling silver wine coasters, Sheffield 1828 by John and Thomas Settle
Each of circular form with convex fluted sides, the ovolo rim quartered with acanthus scrolls. Each with a turned mahogany centre fitted with a vacant silver boss. Later baize lining underneath. Each fully marked to the edge and the interior boss, each with a differing version of makers mark respectively. (2)
