Yachting interest – A William IV sterling silver trophy goblet, London 1834 by Richard Pearce & George Burrows

Of campana form upon a scalloped circular foot with chased rocaille decotation, twin acanthus handles to the side. The body chased with regatta of three sailing ships / yachts with in a textured scalloped cartouche, the obverse with a vacant rocaille C scroll cartouche, all above a rocaille band. The underside with embossed acanthus leaves. Gilt interior. Fully marked to side.

Weight – 596 grams / 19.16 ozt
