A fine pair of Victorian sterling silver sculptural comports or tazza, London 1848 by John Samuel Hunt

Cast and modelled as a goatherder and companion, the man raising a bunch of grapes while holding a goat by the horns, a cornucopia of plenty to his side cascading various fruit including a pineapple, the woman attending to a sheep collared with a wreath. Each sat upon a rocky outcrop below a grape arbor, the spreading solce bases with fruiting vine feet and a vacant C scroll asymmetrical cartouche. Each with later cut clear glass circular dishes. Each fully and part-marked.
