The filed with overall design of multicoloured palmettes , scrolling floral and leafy vine together with perching birds and animal figures. in light blue border of bold polychrome palmette and leafy vine between flowering vine and plain stripes. This carpet has full pile. Very soft wool quality and part silk used on various motifs on the field and border. Very fine weave, approx; 7 x 7 knots per sq. cm. woven on silk warps. Both ends with fringes. Selvages original. In general this carpet ins in very good condition throughout. Very elegant carpet.
