Ming Dynasty.
The tapered body incised with freely designed flowers and foliage, the foot with a band of ribs, the shoulder with border of stylised flower heads and a raised band, the flared neck with further blossoms, all decorated with an even celadon glaze with fine crackles, 43.5cm H.
Provenance: English diplomatic collection, acquired in Beijing in the 1950s, thence by descent.
