Meiji period, 19th Century.

Each with an incised katakiribori design embellished with gilt, shakudo and shibuichi takazogan, the first decorated with peasants harvesting bamboo shoots beneath a blooming prunus tree and a small boy with a flower cart, the second with a monk and two children in a garden and a spray of chrysanthemums, one signed Kyoto Kumagai zo to the side, 27cm diam.
