A VICTORIAN AESTHETIC MOVEMENT WALNUT SECRETAIRE BOOKCASE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, retailed by the Army & Navy Co-Operative Society Limited, the cornice over a pair of astragal glazed doors with decorative pierced brass hinges, above a secretaire drawer, set with a rectangular panel carved with a vase flanked by scrolling acanthus leaves, falling to reveal the fitted interior, with a green tooled leather skiver, two banks of three burr walnut drawers flanking three recesses, incorporating an instand, over a pair of astragal panelled doors with elongatred hexagonal vase and acanthus carved panels, decorative pierced brass hinges, flanked by fluted edges, raised on turned feet, bearing A&N C.S.L. paper labels to the reverse.
