A George III sterling silver teapot, London 1813 by Samuel Hennell and John Edward Terry
Of rounded oval form upon a collet foot, the curved spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle leading to an acanthus leaf and shell gadrooned rim, the fluted upper section with a hinged domed lid surmounted by a scallop shell and flame finial. The half fluted body with flat chased decoration of ropes and foliage reserved with lattices, the lid with the same. Fully marked underneath and part-marked to the lid.
