A George II sterling silver coffee pot, London 1733 by Gabriel Sleath (this mark reg. 17th June 1720)

of tapering cylindrical form with a panelled curved spout with shaped junction opposite a wooden C scroll handle pinned to scroll junctions leading to a hinged domed lid surmounted by a compressed bell form finial. The side with a vacant erased contemporaneous cartouche within a Baroque C scroll surround surmounted by a scallop shell and a mask below. Faint scratch weight underneath 22-0. Fully marked underneath, the lid interior part-marked with maker’s mark and lion passant.
