Note: Cuna (also Kuna) Indian women, of Panama's San Blas archipelago, are famed for their complex Mola textile designs, which along with their ceremonial copper-gilt jewellery, forms a key part of their cultural identity.

Provenance: Acquired by the current owner in part in Panama and other source locations in San Blas Islands c.1960's-70's.
