An early 19^th century South African colonial silver beaker, Cape dated 1813 by Daniel Collinet (active circa 1810-25)

Of tapering cylindrical form with moulded rim and foot, the side with contemporaneous engraved initials HGF above the date 9 April 1813 all within crossed laurel. Gilt interior. Marked underneath with DC twice and with * twice.

Height – 10.1 cm / 4 inches
