A LARGE JAPANESE HANGING SILVER INCENSE BURNER, TSURI-KORO

The spherical body pierced with blossoms, including chrysanthemum, iris, cherry blossom, prunus blossom, bamboo and peony, some embellished with gilt, the rims cast to resemble bamboo, the cord handles formed as bamboo leaves, unsigned, together with wood storage box and cover,

Similar tsuri-koro is visible in the woodblock print by Toyota Hokkei (1780 – 1850) from circa 1825.
